About

My name is Armine Karapetian,  I was born in Yerevan, Armenia and immigrated to the United States with my family when I was 8. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley and attended LAUSD schools. I graduated from Birmingham High School in 2000. I received my BA in Interdisciplinary

Studies and my credentials from Western Governors University. Upon high school graduation, I began working for LAUSD as a teacher's assistant with the hope of becoming a teacher one day. I have worked at several schools and held several different positions. I became a teacher in 2016.
I am married to my best friend. We have two amazing children. Our son, Narek, is currently a 10th grader and our daughter, Jasmine, is in 7th grade. They both keep me very busy with clubs and extra curricular classes. Which I love!
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends as well as cooking, reading, hiking, traveling and doing arts and crafts.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you and your family better throughout the year, as well as working with the young scholars of tomorrow.
